blocks, blocks and more blocks

Our wonderful landlady visited us this weekend - all the way from Slovakia! We were so blessed to see her for the first time in two years. While emptying her remaining things from the building/shop out back, she decided to leave a few things for us...



like blocks! She gave the girls a HUGE tub of wooden blocks, which they love.



The girls played with these for at least four hours today - four hours!! I'm so excited to have this new rainy day activity!

Summer Fun

It's finally warming up around here!

We've been enjoying pink lemonade pie...

managed to sneak in some time in the kiddie pool...

along with the big town pool!

A couple of weeks ago, we had our ultrasound and discovered we're having a boy! David Gregory, as he is to be named, is still due to arrive around October 20th. :)

A Visit to the Zoo

While Allison was in central Oregon at the farm for a week, Abby and I visited the zoo! Here are some pictures of our fun time there :)






After all of our fun during the week, we finished up the zoo and Abby said "Mommy...that was really fun! Next time, can we take Allison?" :)

Since Getting Back...

We've enjoyed some playdoh mornings...

and Allison has started learning to mow the lawn!

May Update

We enjoyed a really fun trip to Grand Forks this month! We drove (two days there and two back), which seemed a bit monumental for us, but the girls did amazingly well! They are both veteran road trippers now. :) We really enjoyed visiting family, going to an indoor water park, visiting a model train museum, touring an old missile silo control center and watching our newest nephew be dedicated in church.

While there, we celebrated Abby's third birthday! As per her request, she had a Toy Story cake and a few presents. :)

My morning sickness has finally abated and I've been feeling much better. I am so thankful that it only lasted about four weeks, as I am usually sick for twice as long! Chris has been working a lot lately, but is not feeling overly burdened. The girls start swim lessons in a couple of weeks and are really looking forward to getting in some water play again!
